Slash and his Signature Cry Baby rock Super Bowl XLV

Slash cry baby wah wah

Aside from the actual game, every year football fans and couch potatoes alike look forward to the funny commercials and extravagant half-time show during the Super Bowl. This year’s game with the Steelers vs. the Packers was no exception, and in fact was the most watched TV programme in television history - with more than 106 million people tuning in.

Everybody’s talking about this year’s show, which featured the Black Eyed Peas. It was eccentric to say the least, with hundreds of Tron-inspired neon-futuristic costumed dancers doing synchronised dances to their songs.

Seemed like pretty standard stuff until Slash and his signature Cry Baby wah pedal (distributed in the UK & Eire by John Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd.) made a surprise appearance, popping up from under the stage to play Sweet Child O’ Mine with Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie on lead vocals.

Slash’s performance was awesome, but the Sweet Child O’ Mine solo wouldn’t be complete with out some of the great man's wah mastery. Slash teamed up with Dunlop to design the Slash wah, having always had a wah as part of his recording and live rigs.

The SW-95 Slash wah was designed to give the sweep and tone that is signature to Slash’s legendary wah-wah tone. As an added bonus, the wah is equipped with a distortion circuit that gives him added sustain
