The HF1 body size is great for stage use, sits nicely on your lap and ideal when used with a strap on stage. It has the acclaimed Hudson 7545r pre-amplifier with master volume bass middle treble and presence controls. The pre amp is fully active, so you can cut and boost these frequencies until the desired tone is achieved. The hudson 7545r pre-amplifier system is one of the easiest pre amps to use live. It is also an excellent system for recording use. 

The neck is mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. The back of the neck is smooth and well finished. The neck width at the top nut is a comfortable and slim 42mm. The neck runs to a set of stable traditional chrome plated machine heads.

The comfortable slim line body make this instrument a joy to play without robbing it of a true acoustic sound when played un-plugged.
